The Commute Life

I have a new client now in San Mateo. This is about an hour and 20 min drive from my home in south San Jose. While the drive can be quite long, it isn’t always uneventful. Earlier this week there was SNOW in the mountains in San Jose! I saw the peaks of the local mountains covered in snow. There was a clear line too where the snow didn’t form. It was really something. Later this week, I saw a huge rainbow on my way to work. It has been quite rainy. I didn’t get a picture of it, but one of my co-workers did.

Also this week I saw a 4 car pile up on the freeway- yikes!

I take the 280 to work and it is quite a scenic drive. There are mountains and forests and lots of space without homes. It is a little crazy to me, there is such a need for housing, but there is an entire area with just trees and another with pasture with cows. Driving on the 101 is a totally different experience, its all one big city from San Francisco to San Jose.

Anyways, the last two weeks have been the pledge drive on my local public radio station and it has been driving me crazy! I think it ended Thursday, so I may be in the clear now.

I just wanted to quickly share an everyday adventure. With my crazy work schedule I don't have much writing time now days.  Regardless, Brooke and I may have exciting news in the near future, so stay tuned!
